How Do People View the Dental Profession?
In a recent op/ed column in The Washington Post, George F. Will was discussing the federal government when he concluded his piece with the following statement, “Like the Fed, dentists are always important and urgently desired when pain is intense. But they are rarely objects of their patients' affections.”
Politics aside, I was struck by what this implied about perceived notions about the dental profession. It seems that dentists and specialists need to redouble their customer service efforts to change perceptions such as these.
As the New Year dawns, make a resolution to take your customer service to the next level. Treat patients like gold—it will always serve you well!
